Adam Knight

Guitarist, Composer, Educator; Applied Lecturer, Jazz Guitar at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University

Adam Knight is a dynamic, soulful, and versatile guitarist and an accomplished composer, having written for jazz, rock, funk, fusion, and guitar ensembles.  He is an Applied Lecturer in Jazz Guitar at both the University of South Carolina and Clemson University. During his career, Adam has toured and recorded with numerous bands, opening for artists such as Maceo Parker, Incubus, and Robert Randolph.  Adam’s original music has received major market radio airplay and been placed in episodes of MTV’s The Real World and Road Rules.

In 2010, Adam formed Earsight, an original, high-energy funk/jazz project with an EP released to positive reviews and radio play. Adam performs in the Greenville Jazz Collective Big Band and leads his own jazz trio, performing at festivals, venues, and events around the Southeast. The GJC big band recently released their debut album, “Welcome to Earth” which features Adam’s composition, “City of Roswell.” He also performs regionally in Adam Knight’s Buried Alive, a Phish tribute project he started in 2018.

Adam earned a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance from Georgia State University and a Master of Music degree in jazz performance from New England Conservatory of Music.
